Is the laser precisely centered in shell housing so as to travel/project straight out the exact center of the bore. I've had problems with other brands in the past not being precisely centered and and the sighting dot projects with an offset. It should be checked/tested, confirming that it's precisely centered in it's housing, within the manufacturing process. asked on Aug 21, 2017
Yes, that unit has centering screws, which you can see in the housing of the boresight. Some brands do not utilize centering screws, which makes them more prone to be slightly off center. But you need to understand, these are not precision point of impact devices. That is not their purpose. Their purpose is to provide quick sighting in of optics, so the shooter is on paper quickly and easily, so fine tuning of point of impact is only a couple of clicks away. This saves both time and ammo when sighting in a new optic.
